Planning Board reviewing master plan

The Frenchtown Planning Board has just begun a five-year review of the most recent master plan re-examination report (dated 2021).

What is a master plan? It is a blueprint for a municipality, outlining a vision for the future of the borough consisting of balanced economic, social, physical, environmental, and fiscal planning. While not a set of laws or regulations, a master plan provides guidance to the borough when making land use, zoning, and capital investment decisions.

The 2021 master plan re-examination report identified items to be addressed over the next 10 years, and the Planning Board will be discussing the borough’s progress on those items in the next few months at its monthly meetings at 7 p.m. the fourth Wednesday of every month, at Borough Hall (and streamed live).

From the May, 2026 edition.
